Echo Point Hill Station

Echo Point is a beautiful hill station on the way to Top Station from Munnar. Top station is situated 41 kms from Munnar and is aptly named, as it is home to some of the highest tea plantations in India. It lies on the state border between Kerala and Tamil Nadu and commands a panoramic view of the rolling green hills. Echo Point as the name conveys, gets its name from the natural echo phenomenon here. The place is surrounded by hills and the green hills at the Echo Point reverberate your own. Echo Point is situated on the way to top station, at a spot on the lake embankment, and amid some hills. Here every loud sound is echoed manifold by the surrounding hills. The site also offers panoramic views. Echo point is an excellent place, especially for young travellers to disembark for a while and yell out and listen to your voice coming back to you! It is located 13 kms from Munnar and is a popular adventure tourism destination. Trekking and nature walks are popular activities in this scenic destination with beautiful views of the green hills. The fresh mountain air, the mist-clad hills and panoramic view make it worthy of a visit.
