fort kochi

The Fort Kochi Beach is located 12 kms from Ernakulam. Fort Kochi Beach also known as Kochi beach is one of the finest beaches in Kerala. The main attraction of fort kochi beach is the historic fort that is the best example of indo- european architecture. It is an obscure fishing village that became the first European township in India. The raw and unused stretch of beach is a loner's delight, where one could swim, play cricket or volley ball and even manage to practice yoga. If you are lucky, you also get sight of a dolphin. Cochin Carnival on the New Year's eve is a colourful festival that everyone enjoys at the beach site. Kochi thus became a haven for seafaring visitors from all over the world. Unlike most of the beaches, the topography of the Fort Kochi beach is quite rocky.
